I first became interested in Macintosh in 1992 whilst staying with my brother. He had a Macintosh Plus, I had been using Dell laptops at the time and had just suffered my second unrecoverable hard drive failure. The Macintosh was a marvel at the time, a tiny screen but the graphics and build quality made up for this. My first Mac was a performa 5500 in 1997 - based on the original Macintosh TV of 1993. The Macintosh TV and the Performa 5500 goes down in history as two of Apple’s top dud products..... at the time though, I loved it. I upgraded to a Power Macintosh G3 300 (Blue & White) in 1999 and have upgraded avery 2-3 years ever since. I think I'm on my 12th Mac now which is a MacBook Pro retina mid 2012. Confession time: I have kept almost every one of my old Mac's with their original packaging. Then at some point I started collecting older Mac portables in their original boxes. Hoping one day to make a mini mac museum! I suppose all these facts amount to one thing; I’m somewhat of a Mac nerd.
